Recognizing that most accidents and injuries are preventable, GloGems Mining Inc. is committed to promoting safety awareness throughout our organization. Our Safety Education Program begins with a comprehensive 30-hour OSHA Safety Training Course, mandatory for all Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and Crew Foremen.
We further enhance our safety program by sponsoring additional safety training in critical areas such as Trenching, Excavation, Fall Protection, Competent Persons Training, Confined Space Training, First Aid, and CPR classes.
Our Safety Director oversees and enforces our safety protocols, working closely with loss prevention experts from our insurance carriers to conduct job site visits and audits of our safety records. Each project undergoes a daily Job Safety Analysis to plan and mitigate risks effectively, with “Toolbox Talks” conducted on-site to reinforce safety precautions.
Job Safety Analysis worksheets are completed daily and reviewed by the Safety Director for any necessary remediation. Periodic Job Site Audits are also conducted by our Safety Director, supervisors, and superintendents to ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures across our operations.
